cool Kinshuk. But firefox-3.5 package is already available in 9.04 so you can easily install through apt. For others as well there is a PPA available that you can add and install..

It will work on any Linux distribution the same way, since, all we are doing is using two Firefox switches and the stable 3.5 release from Mozilla. Since, it is not working on your Debian Lenny (which is, most probably, neither Debian’s nor Mozilla’s fault), my best guess is that you are missing some packages or there is an environment configuration issue. Dig in.
